It’s okay to cry

Cancer is scary and you may feel alone wanting to cry. The reality is that people with cancer are scared, sad, depressed and it’s normal to cry and okay.

Sometimes cancer patients just want someone to be physically present to sit quietly together and have a shoulder to cry on or cry together. A hug can help. Others cry in private. The shower can often be secret place to shed tears.

It you are uncontrollably crying often please discuss with your medical team.
