Cancer patients often note that friends and family “don’t call anymore.” getting on with their lives or just not knowing what to say! Sometimes you may not get a response because the patient is too sick at the time, just be reassured your contact is appreciated.

Treatment day meant duckface day for Shelli posting a duckface on Facebook and Instagram. Friends, extended family, other cancer patients and new friends made would post images creating fun vibes. This was an amazing way for Shelli to keep in contact without the usual “cancer” conversations.

We include a mini duck in our Kits reminding us of Shelli’s duckface fun and representing the importance of staying connected with others.
