On these cold wet Winter days you can be moving back and forth between the cold, dry air outside and warm inside, especially with appointments. Exposure to heating can cause your skin to become dehydrated and may exacerbate some skin conditions. Being kind to your skin is one of the more important routines to adopt during treatment for both radiation and chemotherapy.

We have added a super-smooth ThankYou hand cream to Kit to nourish, hydrate and keep your hands soft. Moisturise your hands and feet  at least once a day with a good skin cream and avoid cuts, splits and abrasions. Keep them covered from the cold with gloves and socks made from a natural, non-irritating material. If gloves and socks get wet change as soon as possible as this can cause itching, cracking, sores, or even flare-ups of eczema.

For lymphoedema sufferers moisturising and skincare is extremely important as any skin breaks can make you more likely to get an infection.
