The colder Autumn weather has settled in and hopefully we have had our flu injections ready for those colder winter months ahead. If possible, stay away from people who have a cold or the flu.

If you can’t, especially if you are caring for a sick family member, wear a mask, cover your mouth when you cough. Once germs are on your hands they can easily spread when you touch your eyes or mouth. Cough or sneeze into a tissue, then throw it out right away. (and not in a place where it will make its way to the washing machine.) Never cough into your hand instead, cough into the crook of your elbow.

Wash your hands with soap and water before and after caring for the patient. Use hand sanitiser, it’s the next best thing for fighting germs. Keep a small bottle of hand sanitiser with you when out and about.

We’ve popped a pocket size Thank you hand sanitiser in Kit to carry it around in your bag at all times.
